Michael Jones

Michael Jones made his first-class debut for Durham against Derbyshire at Emirates Riverside in the 2018 season and has gone onto feature for the first team another twice. Following impressive performances for the seconds in the 2019 season, Jones was recalled to the first-team to play Derbyshire and then Northamptonshire a week later.

Having progress through Lancashire Academy, Jones has been a regular squad member of the clubs second team and has represented Scotland on the international stage on a number of occasions.  In the December 2019 ICC World Cup League 2 he scored 52 in the first match of the competition against USA in the UAE.

Jones is a talented top order batter and will once again be looking to push into the first eleven for the 2020 season. He currently plays his club cricket at Tynemouth in the North East Premier League and scored 723 runs in all competitions last summer.
