Durham Cricket Membership for the 2022 season is now on general sale, as we celebrate our thirty year anniversary of becoming a first-class county.

As the year draws to a close, we can reflect on a season of mixed fortune, which in many ways is reflective of the clubs 30 years, which we will celebrate next season.

Whilst the season thankfully went ahead, it wasn’t entirely unaffected by the ongoing pandemic. Many games were cancelled, or played with reduced capacity crowds, including the international fixture at the ground. As you can imagine this put immense pressure on the staff, with many late nights and difficult communications to manage. We have tried our best to compensate members with additional benefits but we know this can never make up for lost games which we all look forward to so much. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our members and fans who have been extremely understanding and stuck with us throughout.

On the field we feel we are making huge strides with the team performing well across all formats. We fell away in the T20 after a wonderful start, just missing out on qualification. In the Championship we narrowly missed out on the top division but have shown our quality throughout winning the majority of games convincingly and finishing as arguably one of the best teams in the country.

However, it was in the Royal London Cup that we really excelled, losing just one game on a run which saw us reach yet another final in our short history. Whilst it was disappointing not to lift the trophy there were many positives to be drawn from the competition. Not least the depth of our squad as we once again promoted from the academy with some stand out performances from the young players who were given a chance.

The development of the young players coming through our academy to shine in the first team was perhaps the most satisfying aspect of the season along with the seasoned talent on display throughout the established first team players. We once again demonstrated our value to the English national team with Brydon Carse becoming the latest player to achieve international honours.

You can enjoy over 40 days of cricket, in all three formats with your Durham Cricket membership, but here at Durham it isn’t just about the on-field action – you can enjoy a host of extras which include access to the Members Lounge with a private bar; a complimentary copy of the yearbook; reciprocal days at other North East venues and access to Members Forums across the year.

We’re also delighted to announce that our Gold Memberships are once again available to purchase, giving members five years of membership for the price of four.

Any members who have already renewed, Gold members, Life members and members who pay by direct debit and wish to continue do not need to contact the club, your membership is being processed.

Junior membership is also available for 5-15 years old, which costs just £20 and includes your very own junior membership card, allowing you entry into all games for the 2021 season.

Adult memberships, junior memberships and senior membership can be purchased online. Other options can be purchased via the Box Office on 0191 3871717 or in person at The Riverside on weekdays between 10-4pm.
