Will Rhodes returned to action, playing for Tynemouth at Preston Avenue in their eight-wicket victory over Tynedale.
Rhodes claimed one scalp with the ball for just 10 runs in six economical overs before his 32 from 49 balls with the bat helped the hosts chase down 134 inside 24 overs.
Shafiqullah Ghafari made it back-to-back five-wicket hauls for Richmondshire in the NYSD in their 80-run win over Middlesbrough. In defence of Richmond’s total of 150, Ghafari claimed a hat-trick in just his second over of the match, on his way to figures of 5/11 in eight overs.
Robbie Bowman and Haydon Mustard were in action against each other as Shotley Bridge took on Burnmoor. Opening the batting at the Spa Grounds, Mustard top scored for the hosts with 69 from 101 balls including 5 fours and one six as the Bridge were all out for 214 from 48.5 overs.
Bowman led an emphatic Burnmoor chase scoring 103 from 75 balls with seven fours and sixes apiece as the visitors cruised to a five-wicket victory inside 30 overs.
Charlie Harmison was in the wickets again for Ashington picking up a three-for in their tight one-wicket win over Newcastle at Ashington whilst Daniel Hogg was in the runs.
Harmison claimed 3/46 in his 10 overs as Newcastle posted 325/9 with Hogg striking 44 from just 17 balls for the visitors, featuring four fours and four maximums. Harmison then added a run-a-ball 19 as the hosts got over the line by a single wicket.
George Drissell made 42 from 51 balls as South Northumberland recorded victory by eight wickets over Chester-le-Street at Ropery Lane. The hosts were dismissed for 142 before Drissell struck three maximums and one four in his 42 as they chased down their target within 32 overs.
Academy all-rounder Jim Twiddy claimed three wickets in Felling’s 79-run win over Burnopfield. Felling closed on 233/9 in their 50 overs before bowling the hosts out for 154 with Twiddy taking 3/40.
