Scott Borthwick scored 140 and claimed a five-wicket haul as Hartlepool drew with Marske in the North Yorkshire South Durham Premier Division at Marske. Batting first Hartlepool scored 285/9 declared from 45 overs with Borthwick hitting 140 from 116 balls with 19 fours and 3 sixes. Borthwick also impressed with the ball with 5/62 from 13 overs as Marske hang on for a draw closing their 55 overs on 258/9.
110 from Will Rhodes guided Tynemouth to a 6 wicket win over Lanchester to remain top of the North East Premier League Division One table. Tynemouth won the toss and elected to field first as Rhodes was the pick of the Tynemouth bowlers with 4/64 from 15 overs as Lanchester closed their 58 overs on 259/9. Rhodes led the Tynemouth response with his century coming off 120 balls as the hosts chased down 260 in 46 overs.
George Drissell led the way for South Northumberland starring with bat and ball as the Bulls continued their strong season at the top of the NEPL Premier Division table. South Northumberland won the toss and elected to field with Drissell bagging 3/16 from 5.5 overs as Shotley Bridge were bowled out for 125. Haydon Mustard added 34 for Shotley Bridge from 51 balls. In reply Drissell was 74 not out from 83 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes as the Gosforth side won by 8 wickets.
Sam Conners picked up 2/23 as Castle Eden enjoyed a dominate win over Seaham Harbour at Parklands. Having won the toss, Castle Eden elected to field with Conners dismissing former Durham batter Jack Burnham lbw for 2 as Seaham Harbour were bowled out for 160. Castle Eden then chased down 161 inside 35 overs to win by 8 wickets.
Academy quick bowler Zak Mawdsley claimed 2/28 opening the bowling for Chester le Street as they bowled Ashington out for 184 in 55 overs. In response Chester le Street chased down 188 to win by 5 wickets as Women’s batting coach Kyle Coetzer scored 98.
Teddy Minto struck three times for Norton as they fell to a 51-run defeat to Normanby Hall in the NYSD Division One. Minto claimed 3/57 from 15 overs as Normanby Hall posted 254/9 from 50 overs. In reply Norton were 203 all out in 47.1 overs.
Academy batter Faizan Ghumman top scored for Newcastle with 38 from 80 balls as Newcastle were bowled out for 190 in 55 overs. Felling lost 6 wickets in the process but chased down the target in 48.2 overs.
