Shafiqullah Ghafari starred with bat and ball as Richmondshire cruised to victory over Marske at Forth Road. Ghafari struck six fours and five sixes in an exciting 71 from 58 balls to support Dan Hodgson’s 103* as the visitors piled on 290/5 in 50 overs.

Ghafari then led his side to victory with the ball claiming his fourth five-wicket haul of the 2026 season with figures of 5/20 from 11 overs, dismissing Marske for just 124.

Colin Ackermann top scored with 92 as Darlington RA edged to victory over Saltburn. Ackermann’s 92 came from 127 balls featuring six four and a trio of maximums, helping the visitors to a total of 215/8, before picking up a wickets as RA defended their total with 21 runs to spare.

Haydon Mustard featured with the bat and gloves in Shotley Bridge’s frustrating draw with Ashington. Opening the batting, Mustard made 39 from 66 balls with three fours and one six as Shotley Bridge batted their 58 overs putting 288/5 on the board.

Mustard then claimed six catches behind the stumps as the Bridge took nine Ashington wickets, but a defiant 16-over last wicket stand saw the visitors hold out with one wicket to spare batting out their 52 overs.

George Drissell picked up 4 wickets in South Northumberland’s five-wicket win at Burnmoor. The off-spinner grabbed figures of 4/46 from his 12.5 overs as the hosts declared on 239/9 from 52.5 overs before Sol Bell’s century guided South North to their target within 55 overs.

Playing as a batter, Sam Conners made 51 as Castle Eden battled to a draw against Benwell Hill. The Hill made 318/8 declared from 55 overs at NBMS Denton Bank and had the visitors 88/4 until Conners and Mandeep Singh came together with a 135-run stand. Conners hit four boundaries in his 95-ball knock while Singh led with 118 as Castle Eden were defiant in their 241/7.

Academy seamer Zac Mawdsley’s 3/26 pushed Chester-le-Street to a dominant win over Felling at Ropery Lane. The hosts posted 253 from 58 overs before dismissing Felling for just 82 with Mawdsley taking three wickets in nine overs.
