Groundstaff Event: End of Season Renovations

Durham Cricket and its Groundstaff Association will be holding a Groundstaff event at Emirates Riverside next Thursday, 26th August.

Led by Durham Cricket Head Groundsman Vic Demain, the event is a unique opportunity to get advice from Vic and join a network of local groundstaff from across the county.

The event, titled ‘An Open DCBGA Forum & End of Season Renovations 2021′, is free of charge for anyone who is interested and would like to attend.

As we get close to the final ball being played this summer, the session will be covering and discussing end of season renovations, followed by a practical session on the square (weather permitting).

Being the first face-to-face meeting for a while, this session will also be a general get together of the group and will include discussion of topics that arise on the evening.

Andrew Welsby, who is the Regional Pitch Advisor for Cricket for North & Midlands with the Grounds Management Association (GMA), will be in attendance and will be able to address any questions.

The event will be held at the Castle View at Emirates Riverside on Thursday, 26 August from 6pm.
