YAV provides youth sessions, junior sessions, holiday programmes, sporting opportunities, volunteering opportunities, talent pathways, employment opportunities and various educational training to young people and adults.

Durham Cricket have worked with YAV for a number of years supporting Cricket initiatives and developing programmes. This year the Club is further strengthening the partnership with cultural training for staff and supporting events across the year.

Durham Cricket Marketing Director, David Jackson, said: “We are delighted to be showing our support for Young Asian Voices an organisation which the club have worked with recreationally for a long time. Hopefully using such a public game will provide a platform to raise awareness and support for the outstanding work they are doing across communities in the North East.”

Executive Manager of Young Asian Voices, Kumareswaradas Ramanathas (Ram), said: “We are pleased to be further strengthening our ties with the club. We deliver a lot of Cricket based programmes and there is a lot of interest in the sport amongst the communities we work with.

“Hopefully this game will make people aware of the inclusive environment at Durham Cricket and also help to boost support and engagement for our organisation. We are all looking forward to a fun night of cricket in the sun.”
