Shafiqullah Ghafari starred with the ball again for Richmondshire taking a six-wicket haul in a four-wicket win over Marton at Hurgill Road. Ghafari was the pick of the bowlers with 6/50 as Richmond had the visitors bowled out for 167 before losing six wickets in their successful chase from 46.5 overs.
Colin Ackermann was in the runs and wickets for Darlington RA in their winning draw against Bishop Auckland. Ackermann led the way with the bat top scoring with 73 from off 108 balls featuring nine boundaries as RA were dismissed for 220 at Brinkburn Road. He then claimed 3/41 in 14 overs with his off-spin as Bishop Auckland clung on to a draw nine wickets down with 152 runs on the board from their 52 overs.
Scott Borthwick scored 84 helping Hartlepool to an eight-wicket victory over Darlington at Park Drive. In response to Darlington’s 201/9, Borthwick struck 11 fours and two sixes in his 78-ball knock of 84 as he shared a 173-run partnership with Yash Vagadia – who made 107* to lead the hosts to a rampant win inside 28 overs.
Academy seamer Zac Mawdsley picked up a trio of wickets for Chester-le-Street in their dominant win over Newcastle at Ropery Lane. Mawdsley got the hosts off to a perfect start claiming the first three poles in figures of 3/38 in 10 overs as his side bowled Newcastle out for 169, before chasing their target with seven wickets in hand.
