Daniel Hogg scored 76 from 62 balls in Newcastle’s six-wicket win over Benwell Hill at Jesmond. After claiming one wicket as the Hill posted 245/6, Hogg led the way with the bat striking six fours and four maximums as the hosts reached their target with 10 overs to spare.
Robbie Bowman made an unbeaten 34 from 33 deliveries guiding Burnmoor to a six-wicket victory against Ashington. The visitors were dismissed for 75 at the Village Ground, Bowman taking the hosts over the line within 17 overs for a comfortable win, despite a pair of wickets for Charlie Harmison.
Luke Symington was in the runs scoring 52 for Hartlepool in their heavy home defeat to Richmondshire. Symington’s 52 came from 112 balls with four fours and one six as Hartlepool were bowled out for 154 at Park Drive in response to Richmond’s 242/4. Shafiqullah Ghafari claimed one wicket while adding 29 from 22 with the bat.
