Luke Robinson starred with the ball in Philadelphia’s four-wicket victory over Tynemouth at Philadelphia. The Sunderland-born quick claimed 5/16 in 7.4 overs as Tynemouth were bowled out for just 83, with the hosts chasing their total down with four wickets to spare.
There were runs and wickets for Colin Ackermann as he scored 57 and claimed three wickets in Darlington RA’s victory over Darlington at Brinkburn Road. Ackermann claimed 3/46 as his side dismissed the visitors for 149 before adding 57 from 94 balls to help RA to a four-wicket win.
Charlie Harmison claimed a five-wicket haul as Ashington fell to a tight defeat against Burnopfield at Front Street. Harmison led the way with the ball claiming figures of 5/32 in nine overs as the hosts posted 226/8 in 45 overs. Sean McAfferty and Ben Harmison both made half-centuries in response but Ashington fell an agonising seven runs short.
Will Alexander picked up a pair of wickets in South Northumberland’s victory over Newcastle at Jesmond Cricket Club. Alexander claimed 2/33 in eight overs as the visitors bowled out Newcastle for 138 before chasing it down inside 40 overs with three wickets in hand.
Robbie Bowman made 33 from 37 balls in Burnmoor’s heavy defeat to Seaham Harbour. The hosts restricted Seaham Harbour to 197/8 at the Village Ground with Jack Burnham top scoring with 70, before the Harbour bowled the hosts out for 98 with Bowman’s runs coming in vain.
