Gary Metcalfe

Gary Metcalfe is the club’s Assistant physiotherapist a role he has held since 2020, working with both the first, second and Academy squads. During the summer Gary can be found travelling with both men’s senior squads with the club.

Having studied at the University of Essex, Gary has worked with elite sport for a number years where he worked at Somerset County Cricket in their physiotherapy department. He also worked with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as a physio for the England disability squad.

During the coronavirus pandemic Gary volunteered with the NHS.
