Graham Onions

Durham Cricket were delighted to welcome Graham Onions back to Durham in January 2024 as the club’s new Lead Bowling Coach, replacing Neil Killeen.

Onions returned to Durham from Lancashire having spent 6 years at Old Trafford as a player and coach, leading their bowling department since 2021.

A Durham legend, Onions spent 14-years as a professional in the North East, taking a record 527 first-class wickets, becoming Durham’s all-time leading wicket taker in first-class cricket – a scalp eventually broken by Chris Rushworth in 2021.

His career at Durham, was one of huge success, encompassing three County Championship titles between 2008 and 2013 and playing his part in Durham’s One Day Cup Final win against Hampshire at Lord’s in 2014.
