Strong Business Support Set to Drive 2026 Durham Cricket Foundation Golf Day

Businesses, community organisations and cricket supporters from across the North East are coming together for this year’s Durham Cricket Foundation Golf Day, with 18 teams expected to take part in the charity fundraising event.

Following the announcement that Everyone Active will return as Headline Sponsor for the 2026 event, the Foundation has now confirmed a strong line-up of organisations supporting this year’s Golf Day.

Taking place on Friday 21 August at Ramside Hall’s Prince Bishops’ Course, the event will bring together representatives from across the region for a day of golf, networking and fundraising in support of Durham Cricket Foundation’s work in local communities.

The 2026 participating teams include Everyone Active, North East Youth Alliance, Newlands Sports, Dynamic Transport Planning, Hetton Lyons Cricket Club, two teams from Ramside, Ryecroft Glenton, MRP Surveyors, Durham Youth Trust, Unite Group, Kala GM Ltd, Whickham Cricket Club and the Foundation’s Guest Team, alongside four teams representing Accenture.

The Foundation is also grateful to Quantum Aseptics, who have kindly sponsored the golf balls for this year’s event, ensuring each player has personalised balls to use throughout the competition.

The breadth of organisations taking part reflects the strong network of businesses and community partners supporting the Foundation and its commitment to creating opportunities through sport across the North East.

Accenture will be particularly well represented at this year’s event, with four teams taking part, while Newlands Sports, who recently strengthened their partnership with Durham Cricket Foundation, will also be among the businesses supporting the day.

The event follows the success of the inaugural Foundation Golf Day in 2025, which welcomed 18 teams and raised valuable funds to support the charity’s programmes.

Graeme Weeks, Chief Executive Officer at Durham Cricket Foundation, said: “We are incredibly grateful to all of the organisations who have chosen to support this year’s Golf Day.

“The strength and variety of teams taking part is a fantastic reflection of the relationships we have built with businesses and community organisations across the North East.

“Events like this are important not only because they raise vital funds for the Foundation, but also because they bring people together around a shared commitment to supporting our communities through sport.

“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Ramside Hall and creating another fantastic day for our teams, sponsors and supporters.”

The Durham Cricket Foundation Golf Day will begin with breakfast and refreshments before teams take to the Prince Bishops’ Course for a shotgun-start Texas Scramble competition.

Players will also have the opportunity to take part in a range of on-course challenges, including Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and Beat the Pro, before finishing the day with a post-golf BBQ buffet, prize presentation and networking in the clubhouse.

All proceeds from the event will support Durham Cricket Foundation’s work to grow recreational cricket, deliver inclusive participation programmes and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities across Durham and the wider North East.

With the event now at capacity, the Foundation is looking forward to welcoming its participating businesses, partners and supporters for what promises to be another successful day of fundraising and networking.
