Durham Cricket Foundation is offering junior club cricketers across the North East the opportunity to develop their skills this winter, with a programme of Junior Development Courses taking place across the region.
Designed to support young players looking to improve and develop as cricketers, the courses will provide regular weekly coaching sessions led by Durham Cricket Foundation’s professional coaching team.
The programme is open to junior club players and has been designed to provide accessible development opportunities for players across a range of ages and abilities.
Courses are available for age groups from U9 through to U14, with regionalised sessions taking place across the North East, South East, South West and Central areas. Dedicated courses for girls will also be available at Belmont School in Durham, covering the U11, U13 and U15 age groups.
Across each course, players will work on developing their technical skills through challenging practices and game-based scenarios, helping them to improve their decision-making, adaptability and overall understanding of the game.
The small-group sessions will also provide players with regular feedback and support from experienced coaches, with the Foundation’s coaching team bringing experience of working with players from beginner level through to county-level cricket.
This year’s courses will be delivered across four locations, giving players the flexibility to attend a programme close to home or choose a venue that best suits their needs.
