Independent reviewer Ray Galloway, known for leading high-profile national case reviews, and the NSPCC will be the headline guest speakers at Durham Cricket Foundation’s Safeguarding Conference, taking place on Wednesday 11th June at Banks Riverside Ground.
Now in its second year, the conference will once again gather Club Safeguarding Officers, Chairpersons and key volunteers. The conference will provide a platform to hear from national leaders, engage in discussions about best practice and build stronger safeguarding networks across the cricket community.
Ray Galloway will offer insights from national case reviews, helping clubs reflect on key lessons and their application in grassroots sport. Gail Sayles from the NSPCC will deliver a presentation on “How to Keep Children Safe Online” – an important topic for safeguarding in the digital age.
All attendees will receive free hospitality, which includes a complimentary meal, and entry to the evening’s T20 cricket game.
This is an ideal opportunity to connect with fellow safeguarding officers in an informal setting, learn from respected experts and enjoy the backdrop of a live match as Durham Men take on Derbyshire.
The event is open to anyone volunteering in cricket with an interest in safeguarding – because safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Booking is essential — please confirm attendance by noon on Monday.
