Lauren Filer and Charlotte Stubbs included in ECB Development XI to play West Indies

Durham’s Lauren Filer and Charlotte Stubbs have been named in The ECB Development XI squad to play West Indies in Canterbury on Sunday 18 May.

Fast bowler Lauren Filer is selected, as she continues her return from a knee injury, as well as several players previously involved in ICC Women’s U19 World Cups.

Academy batter Charlotte Stubbs is also named in the 13 player squad for the T20 match that begins at 2.30pm at The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury.

ECB Development XI: Katie Jones (Somerset; captain), Ellie Anderson (Somerset), Phoebe Brett (Warwickshire), Olivia Brinsden (Lancashire), Emma Corney (Somerset), Lauren Filer (Durham), Liberty Heap (Lancashire), Tilly Kesteven (Lancashire), Bethan Miles (Surrey), Chloe Skelton (Somerset), Charlotte Stubbs (Durham), Annie Williams (The Blaze), Genevieve Jeer (Surrey non-playing role)

With this warm-up fixture being in close proximity to the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup and Metro Bank One Day Cup competition fixtures, it was decided domestic games would take precedence from a player selection perspective, providing a great opportunity for young, talented players not involved in those domestic games to play against the touring West Indies team.
