Leah Dobson and Lizzie Scott to depart Durham Cricket

Durham Cricket can confirm that Leah Dobson and Lizzie Scott will depart the Club at the end of October following the completion of their contracts.

Both players joined ahead of the 2025 season – making history as part of Durham’s first professional women’s squad.

Dobson has gone on to play 13 times for the club across both white ball formats, scoring a best of 53 against Surrey in the Metro Bank One Day Cup last year.

Hexham-born Scott became the third professional Durham Women’s Academy graduate – making her Durham List A debut in Taunton against Somerset in August 2025, having progressed through the Northumberland and Durham pathways.

Women’s Head Coach, Dani Hazell said: “Leah and Lizzie have been valuable members of an historic squad over the past two years.

“Both players have made valuable contributions for Durham on and off the field, we wish them both well for the future.”
