Durham Cricket are pleased to announce that Danielle Collins will join the Club from Lancashire Cricket on a two-year deal.
Collins makes her switch to the North East permanent ahead of the 2027 season – having joined on loan for the closing stages of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, making three appearances in a Durham shirt.
The 26-year-old left-hand batter was part of Lancashire’s double-winning side in 2025, making eight appearances across all competitions last year.
Having represented the Red Rose since 2018 Collins went on to score 863 Lancashire runs, with a highest score of 51, whilst also developing into a useful option with the ball – bowling right arm seam.
The Bury-born cricketer helped Lancashire to the T20 County Cup title in 2022, passing fifty in a group stage victory over Derbyshire before going on to sign her maiden professional contract with the Red Rose in 2023.
Danielle Collins said: “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to join Durham and I can’t wait to get started with the team this winter. I’m excited for this new chapter and what’s ahead.”
Women’s Head Coach, Dani Hazell said: We are thrilled to announce Danielle has agreed to join Durham on a two-year deal.
“Danielle joined us on loan earlier this season and she is the type of character and cricketer we want in our squad at Durham.
“We felt it was important to add a left-hander into our ranks and Danielle offers us that with the bat at the top of the order.
“Hopefully this move to Durham will see her thrive in the county and we look forward to her joining up with the girls next month.”
