Winners of the Together Through Sport prize draw have been announced, with signed shirts from the five participating sports foundations awarded to supporters across the region.
Durham Cricket Foundation’s prize draw included men’s and women’s shirts signed by the Durham teams as part of a fundraising campaign to help ensure no child is left on the sidelines.
Durham Cricket Foundation together with the Foundation of Light, Newcastle Rugby Foundation, Newcastle United Foundation and Newcastle Eagles, supported by the North East Combined Authority and the North East Housing Partnership, have raised thousands of pounds in support of free sport opportunities for more young people.
As part of the ongoing campaign, supporters entered a prize draw for the chance to win signed shirts from their favourite clubs and teams, with winners now confirmed from across the North East sporting community.
Durham Cricket Foundation’s prize draw winners are: Alice Coombs for the women’s signed shirt and William Daniels for the men’s signed shirt.
The campaign forms part of a wider ambition to establish the North East as the UK’s first “Region of Sport”, bringing together sport clubs’s charities and their devoted communities to create more opportunities for children and young people to take part in sport, regardless of background or circumstance.
Funds raised through Together Through Sport will help organisations like Durham Cricket Foundation continue delivering accessible and inclusive opportunities for many more young people across the region.
Your donations can help us provide free places on holiday activity programmes, free sports sessions in schools and subsidised community activities for young people and families across the region.
There is still time for supporters to get involved and support the campaign.
