Lizzie Scott

Lizzie Scott returned home to the North East, signing a two-year deal with Durham ahead of the 2025 season.

A product of the Northumberland and Durham pathways, Scott returned to Chester le Street having been part of the Durham Women’s Academy.

Having made her professional debut in 2022, Scott has been a regular for the Northern Diamonds, including an impressive 1-10 from 5 overs in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final win at Lord’s.

Born in Hexham, the right-arm seamer is closing in on 50 all-format wickets, including a best of 5-24.

The 20-year-old was part of the England squad for the inaugural Under 19s T20 World Cup in South Africa, playing twice as England lost to India in the final.

A new ball bowler with pace and the ability to swing the ball, Scott claimed 19 wickets last term in both regional competitions – and earned a call-up to the Oval Invincible squad for the Hundred.
