Robbie Bowman scored two half-centuries as Durham Boys’ Under 18s picked up two wins from five at the Under 18s T20 County Cup in York.
Bowling first in the opening game against Lancashire, Teddy Minto, Zac Smith and Harry Walker picked up a pair of wickets each while Finlay Barlow and Isaac Tate shared two scalps.
Rian Maisuria made 48 while Liam Yahathugoda top scored with 70* as the Red Rose posted 183/8.
Faizan Ghumman (30) got Durham off to a steady start but once he departed at 75/3 approaching the halfway point, it looked like an uphill task.
Thomas Briggs made his way to 43 from 28 balls but a five-wicket haul from Bradley Barrow saw Lancashire prevail by 59 runs as Durham were dismissed for 124.
Durham then opted to bat against Nottinghamshire and Will Gidman’s side put 156 on the board with Lucas Nixon (28) top scoring.
Durham struggled for partnerships but a late stand of 34 from 17 balls between Minto and Barlow helped Gidman’s side pass 150.
Mihir Patel claimed three wickets for Notts while Mudaliga, Boswell and Crofts took two each.
Minto, Smith and Tate all picked up one wicket for Durham but Joshua Beer’s unbeaten 65 helped Nottinghamshire cruise to a seven-wicket win.
Teddy Minto led the way with the ball in Durham’s third game as his figures of 4/22 led the way in restricting Leicestershire to 131/9.
Zac Mawdsley took figures of 2/32, backed up by a wicket each for Charlie Harmison, Jim Twiddy and Isaac Tate.
Durham found it tough going with the bat with just three double-figure scores as the Foxes dismissed the Ds for 92 to claim a 39-run victory.
The Ds recorded their first victory against Derbyshire posting 200 with Robbie Bowman and Owen Harwood both scoring 61, backed up by 45 for Thomas Briggs.
Zac Mawdsley struck early while Isaac Tate and Edward Minto (twice) claimed wickets in the middle overs.
With the game going down to the wire, Charlie Harmison claimed three poles in the penultimate over; Derbyshire ending up six runs short of Durham’s total.
In the final game against Yorkshire, Durham opted to bat first with Bowman leading the way again scoring 51 from 32 balls whilst Luke Symington added 29 as Durham closed on 182/6.
Joseph Hayes led the way in response for the hosts with 46 from 31 balls but when he was bowled by Luke Symington Yorkshire were 109/5 with eight overs remaining.
Finlay Barlow returned to the attack and claimed three of the final five Yorkshire wickets on his way to figures of 4/27 as Durham took a 20-run win over the White Rose.
Symington picked up two wickets while Minto and Twiddy grabbed one apiece.
