Durham all-rounder Mady Villiers has signed for Sydney Sixers ahead of the 2025/2026 Women’s Big Bash League.
Villiers was selected in round four of the Women’s Big Bash League draft which took place on 19 June and earns her first call up for Australia’s premium domestic T20 competition.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to Durham’s Vitality Blast campaign with 162 runs including a T20 best of 85* against The Bears at Banks Homes Riverside, while she has four wickets and impressed in the field.
Fellow England star Sophia Dunkley was also picked up by Sydney Sixers along with New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr.
After lifting the title and finishing second twice apiece in the opening five editions, the Sydney side are looking for a fourth crown in the 11th edition of the competition.
12 England cricketers were picked in the draft including Sophie Ecclestone, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt-Hodge.
