Everyone Welcome: Inclusive Spaces at Durham Cricket

At Durham Cricket, we believe cricket is a game for everyone, and our ground is a place where every supporter should feel at home. We’re proud to offer a range of inclusive facilities designed to ensure every visitor has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience when they join us on matchday or for any event at Banks Homes Riverside.

Our Facilities and Services Include:

Multi-Faith Space
A quiet, respectful environment available to people of all faiths and none. Whether for prayer, reflection, or a moment of peace, our Multi-Faith Space is open throughout matchdays.

Sensory Room
A calm, low-stimulation room designed for visitors who may benefit from a quieter space. Whether you’re visiting with a child with sensory sensitivities or simply need a break from the crowd, our Sensory Room is here to support you.

Changing Places Facility
We are proud to offer a fully equipped Changing Places toilet, ensuring that everyone – including those with complex disabilities – can visit the ground with dignity and comfort.

Accessible Seating
Our accessible seating areas ensures those with additional needs and their companions can enjoy the match with ease, with great views and step-free access across the ground.

Visually Impaired Commentary

We are proud to enhance the match experience for those with a visual impairment, offering a specialist volunteer-led service. Volunteers sit with the participants in a box in the main stand, offering a commentary service.

You Belong Here.
These spaces are more than just rooms – they’re part of our commitment to inclusion. Whether it’s your first time here or you’ve been coming for years, we want everyone to feel welcome, seen, and supported.

So come down to the ground, take a look around, and enjoy everything Durham Cricket has to offer – because we’re a club for all.

If you want more information about our accessible spaces, email the Box Office on box.office@durhamcricket.co.uk. Alternatively, if you’d like to speak with someone please call 0191 387 1717.
