7 days to go until England v New Zealand at Seat Unique Riverside!

There are now just 7 days to go until we welcome you to Seat Unique Riverside for our Vitality IT20 fixture between England and New Zealand.

In order to prepare for next week’s game we have sent some information which will help you ahead of attending the game.

Further information will follow next week with additional match information.

FIXTURE DETAILS

The IT20 will start at 6pm with gates opening at 4pm.

1ST INNINGS 6pm-7:25pm.

INTERVAL 7:25pm-7:45pm

2ND INNINGS 7:45pm-9:10pm

VENUE

During this fixture the Durham Cricket Sensory Room and Multi Faith rooms will be available. Durham Cricket are attempting to ensure the Seat Unique Riverside is fully inclusive to all our visitors.  During this fixture, to enhance customer experience, we will have a Sensory Room, Changing Places facility and a Multi Faith room available.

Based in the media centre, Durham Cricket’s Sensory Room is available for the first time at an international cricket fixture.  The room is designed to make cricket accessible to all people with neuro-diverse needs who might otherwise feel uncomfortable attending the game.  It provides a safe, relaxing space for individuals and families to enjoy an unrivalled view of the game. You can book a space in the Sensory room by calling 0191 387 1717 or by emailing box.office@durhamcricket.co.uk You must have a relevant and valid match ticket to book.

A multi-faith space room will be available, located in the council sports centre, located in the ground,  with the aim of creating a quiet space for prayer and reflection and will be open to all throughout the game.

There will be sign posts on the day to access both rooms.

PLANNING YOUR JOURNEY

There are a variety of options to travel to Seat Unique Riverside for the international T20 game between England and New Zealand on 30th August.  Details are given below.

Plan your journey well in advance, allow enough time for your journey and get there early as the site will get extremely busy in the run up to the game.

PARK AND RIDE

We will be operating a Park and Ride service from Rainton Meadows Arena Houghton-le-Spring DH4 5PH.

The Park and Ride site opens at 3pm, with the first bus looking to leave for the ground by 3.30pm and the service continuing until the start of the game at 6pm.

The service back to the park and ride site will commence towards the end of the game and carry on until all customers are returned.

The cost of the service is £3 return per person payable on entering the bus.

Durham Station shuttle bus. A shuttle bus service will be in operation from Durham Station from 3.30pm.  The service is £3 per person single or £5 per person return.

CAR PARKING

Car parking passes can be purchased in advance from the Durham Cricket Box Office at £12.  Click HERE to purchase

Car parking will sell out in advance and you will not be able to pay on the day.

STAND NAME CHANGE ON TICKET

Please note since the start of the 2023 season the Castle Stand has been renamed Dafabet Stand replacing the Vertu Stand. Certain tickets bought in that part of the ground may state Vertu Stand on tickets – please note your seats are located in the Dafabet stand,
