Durham’s representatives shine as the Club have four players feature at the ECB Super4s in Loughborough.
Durham were well-represented with Jim Twiddy, Thomas Briggs, Luke Symington and Teddy Minto all featuring in 50-over and T20 matches throughout the week at Loughborough University.
Briggs impressed with the bat in the North’s opening fixture top scoring with 56 from 41 balls with four fours and one six as his side piled on 189/4 in 20 overs against South & West. He added scores of 44,29 and 23* as to finish as the North’s highest run-scorer with 152 runs.
Twiddy starred with the ball claiming 5/32 in a 50-over clash against South & West as the North claimed victory on Duckworth-Lewis Stern. Twiddy contributed with bat and ball throughout the week providing six wickets and 59 runs.
Minto was a consistent wicket taker throughout the week claiming seven poles for The North, ending with his side’s most scalps. Minto’s figures of 2/24 helped The North to a five-wicket victory over The Midlands in a 50-over match while he claimed 2/16 in a T20 defeat to the same side.
Symington got his side over the line by seven wickets with an unbeaten 53 from 30 balls in the T20 Final. He also struck 64 from 74 in a 50-over victory The Midlands as he went on to score 182 runs across five matches.
