Spectator Information: England v India IT20

We are delighted to welcome England men back to Banks Homes Riverside on Wednesday evening as the Three Lions take on India at 5:30pm in a Vitality T20 international.

Tickets are SOLD OUT for this game, there are no additional seats available to purchase.

Ahead of Wednesday’s opening Vitality T20 International we can provide spectators with a match day information guide.

GATES

Entry to the ground will be via Gates 2, 3, 4 and 5 and gates will open at 2:30pm.

Hospitality gates will also open at 2:30pm with access via Gate 1.

HOURS OF PLAY

The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.

5:00pm – toss

  • First Innings: 85 minutes (5:30 PM – 6:55 PM)
  • Innings Break: 15 to 20 minutes (6:55 PM – 7:15 PM)
  • Second Innings: 85 minutes (7:15 PM – 8:40 PM)

*30 minutes extra time is available should there be any weather interruptions or delays.

VENUE

Banks Homes Riverside is a cashless venue.

No alcohol or glass can be brought into the venue.  A strict bag search regime will be in force at each entry gate.  Any alcohol will be confiscated and not returned.

CAR PARKING  

Car Parking is SOLD OUT. No parking will be available on the day – please don’t attempt to visit our onsite car parks if you haven’t already purchased a car parking pass.

Car parks will take some time to empty at the end of the game so please be patient.

GROUND/PITCH ACCESS

Access onto the Playing Surface/Pitch is not allowed at any time during the match.

The match will be played on pitch 11

SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).

You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward or text 07851183114 anonymously.

Food and soft drinks can be brought into the ground, but NO ALCOHOL or glass containers  can be brought into the venue.

SHOP/RECEPTION/BOX OFFICE

Durham’s Welcome Hub will be open throughout this fixture.

Fans will have the chance to browse all of Durham and England merchandise in our club shop.

Programmes will be available from stands located on entry gates with scorecards also available to purchase from the club shop at £1.

LEAVING THE GROUND

Please be patient when leaving the ground, as this may take some time to exit due to the large number of spectators in attendance. The Heineken bar and Sticky Wicket will remain open after the game for a drink.

Please follow the instructions from our stewards when doing so and ensure you leave the ground safely.

WELCOMING ENVIRONMENTS – SENSORY ROOM/MULTI FAITH ROOM/CHANGING PLACES FACILITY

As a venue Banks Homes Riverside aims to provide a welcoming environment to all visitors, with a range of facilities and services to cater for everyone’s needs.  The key facilities are detailed below.

Our Sensory Room will be open on Wednesday.  Based in the Media Centre, this room will provide safe, relaxing space for individuals and families to enjoy an unrivalled view of the game.

Due to the space available this is done by calling 0191 387 1717 or by emailing box.office@durhamcricket.co.uk *You must have a valid match ticket for entry into the Sensory Room.

Around the corner from the Media Centre a Changing Places facility is available which includes disabled toilets and changing space.  The new accessible changing facility meets the needs of those with complex care needs and provides equipment, including a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, ceiling track hoist system and peninsular toilet.

A new Multi-Faith Room has been opened at Banks Homes Riverside – which is located next to the Media Centre. The Multi-Faith Room will be available to use and will be a space for people of all faiths to spend time in prayer or contemplation.  A steward is deployed at the Multi-faith space who will manage access.
