Emilio Gay has been selected by Rangpur Riders in the 2025/26 Bangladesh Premier League draft.
After a stint with the New York Lions in the USA National Cricket League, Gay was picked up for his second franchise stint of the winter in Bangladesh.
The 25-year-old will line up alongside the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy with Alex Hales, Angelo Mathews and Abrar Ahmed also set to feature in the competition.
Gay continues his 2025 rise after an impressive opening season with the bat for Durham alongside achieving T20 World Cup qualification with Italy and becoming a regular member of the England Lions squad.
Gay joins the Rangpur side who have reached the playoffs in the last three seasons and will be looking to go one step further when the 2025/26 BPL kicks off with the franchise running from 26th December to late January.
Having yet to make an appearance for Durham in the shortest format, Gay showed his white ball capabilities scoring 119* in the One Day Cup against Kent at Beckenham in August.
The top-order batter has 354 runs in the T20 format with two half-centuries, having also represented Italy in the format on the international stage.
