Colin Ackermann named in Dutch squad for CWC League 2 fixtures against Oman and the UAE

The KNCB has named Durham’s Colins Ackermann in the squad that will travel to Dubai for the next round of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

This 50-over competition offers the prospect of participating in the World Cup, which will be played in three countries in southern Africa in November 2027.

In Dubai, the Netherlands will face Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

The top four of the CWCL2 will qualify for a Global Qualifier in 2027. The Netherlands is already assured of participation in that World Cup qualifying tournament.

The Netherlands Squad:

Colin Ackermann, Shariz Ahmad, Noah Croes, Cedric de Lange, Bas de Leede*, Daniel Doram, Aryan Dutt, Scott Edwards+, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Michael Levitt, Zach Lion-Cachet, Max O’Dowd, Timm van der Gugten, Paul van Meekeren

The new men’s national coach Ashley Noffke comments: “We are looking forward to the tournament in the UAE, where we will be focusing on our style of play, our combinations and creating a great team dynamic that can continue to grow upon the solid platform that already exists. It will be a great tour to look at some of our young and up and coming talent, and give them an opportunity to showcase their skill at an international level.”
