“Our Durham Stories”: Durham Cricket to Shine a Spotlight on the Members Who Make the Club Special

Durham Cricket invites members past and present to share their personal stories, photographs, and memorabilia as part of a new heritage project that celebrates the heart and soul of the club: its valued members.

Titled “Our Durham Stories”, this campaign will explore what it means to be part of Durham Cricket, sharing stories from across generations to highlight the passion, memories, and connections that make our community so special. From the thrill of historic victories to the quiet joys of lifelong friendships formed on the boundary, we want to hear it all.

At the heart of this project is a celebration of members past and present, young and old, who have helped shape the club’s legacy. Whether you are a longstanding supporter with stories from decades past or a newer member creating fresh memories, we want to hear from you. Do you have cherished memorabilia, old photographs, or unforgettable stories about matches, players, or moments at the Riverside Ground? Perhaps you have anecdotes about family traditions, friendships forged through cricket, or how the club has played a role in your life. We aim to feature members young and old, capturing the diversity and enduring spirit of our membership.

This project will take place in the new year, but we would like to hear from you now to ensure we can plan accordingly for early 2026. We would like to include as many members as we can across a variety of formats, including print, press, and film. If you would like to share your story and be part of the series, please let us know. Simply complete the form below and tell us a bit about your connection to Durham Cricket and what you would like to contribute.

Your stories are what make Durham Cricket truly unique, which is why this campaign promises to be a heartfelt tribute, reminding us all why cricket is more than just a game, it is a community. We look forward to celebrating as many stories as we can.
