Banks Homes Riverside will make history tomorrow when Durham women play their first match as a professional outfit, taking on Essex at 10:30am.
A bumper crowd is expected to celebrate the new era of women’s cricket at Durham and to commemorate the event everyone attending will receive a free bin badge. The Everyone Active Family Zone and the Heineken Fan Zone with live music will also be open for a day of family fun.
Members can bring a friend by claiming a ticket here.
And T20 season ticket holders can attend free by claiming a free ticket by logging into their account.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of attending the fixture or watching from home!
GATES
Entry to the ground will be via Gate 2.
Gates will open at 9:30am
Hospitality gates will open at 9:30am with access via gate 2.

The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.

TICKETS AND MEMBERSHIP
Tickets are available to purchase from the box office at Gate 2. Adult tickets can be purchased in advance for adults at £12.50 and £4 for juniors on the day. You can also buy match tickets by clicking here.
MEMBERS ACCESS
Renewed membership – Last year’s membership card will be activated for entry this season. If you have lost your card, please report this to the box office or go to Gate 2 tomorrow on arrival.
New members requesting a physical card – New members who have opted for a physical card can collect their card from Gate 2 at any point during this game. Those who do not attend game one will have their cards posted to them on Monday night to arrive ahead of game 2.
New members requesting a digital card – New members who requested a digital card can now log on to their account and download their card onto their mobile devices. Instructions have been sent direct to members but if you are having any difficulties please contact the Box Office.
CAR PARKING
Parking is available in the council car parks outside the ground. There will be no stewarding in this area.
Members with pre paid disabled parking passes will be able to park in the ground, access being by gate 6.
GROUND/PITCH ACCESS
The match will be played on pitch 5.
FAMILY ZONE
Durham Cricket are delighted that our Everyone Active Family Zone is back for 2025 located behind block 5, as we aim to thrill the crowds both on and off the field; think you can bowl as fast as Lauren Filer or pull off some Mady Villiers catches? If so, we have you covered. This will be open throughout the day.
FAN ZONE
In association with Heineken, Durham Cricket will see our Fan Zone return for 2025, situated in front of the main pavilion, music will be played throughout the day with live music at the lunch time interval.
The Heineken Fan Zone will host a bar and food fan with seating to relax and enjoy live music during the interval. Our fan zone will be close 30 minutes after the close of play to grab a final bite to eat before leaving.
SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS
Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.
SHOP/RECEPTION/BOX OFFICE
Durham’s Welcome Hub will be open throughout this fixture.
Fans will have the chance to browse all of Durham’s retail offering in our club shop including our new range of kit.
SCORECARDS & YEARBOOKS
As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, a scorecard will be available to purchase for £1 at the club shop. This will have both squads listed giving members and spectators the chance to fill out for their own use.
Members will be able to collect yearbooks throughout this game, please show your membership card on collection, Yearbooks are also available to buy for £10 from the Welcome Hub.
LEAVING THE GROUND
The pass out facility will be available to spectators throughout the day for those wishing to leave and re-enter the ground during a match.
FOOD AND DRINK
The Durham Cricket members lounge will be open from 9:30am serving breakfast rolls, Lunch & Tea, and snacks along with hot and cold drinks.
The Sticky Wicket will be open from 10am serving breakfast, lunch and dinner along with cold drinks. Please note a coffee van will be outside of the Sticky Wicket serving hot drinks.
LIVE STREAMING
This fixture will be live streamed and available to watch on the Durham Cricket website or by visiting our channel on YouTube.
SENSORY ROOM
The Durham Cricket Sensory Room will be available for use throughout all Metro Bank One Day Cup games, to book your place please email Durham Cricket Membership services officer Michael Thorpe at michael.thorpe@durhamcricket.co.uk – to use the Sensory Room you will need to have a valid match ticket. Around the corner from the Media Centre a Changing Places facility is available which includes disabled toilets and changing space.
The new accessible changing facility meets the needs of those with complex care needs and provides equipment, including a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, ceiling track hoist system and peninsular toilet.
Our multi-faith space will be available for use throughout this fixture and is situated next to the Media Centre.
BOOK SHOP
Our book shop has reopened in the media centre. This will be open 45 minutes pre game and will be open during the interval.
