Durham Cricket team up with Northumbria Spring as water hydration partner

Durham Cricket are delighted to have joined up with Northumbria Spring who have become the club’s official water hydration partner in a two-year deal.

The new deal which commenced at the start of the 2021 season will see Northumbria Spring water  available throughout the stadium which includes in the members lounge, bars and across hospitality lounges. With water products also available for the media across all games at the Riverside.

The local brand  will hydrate all of the professional playing squad with unlimited water being available to them on match days and when training at the ground.

The water brand who are local to the North East, bottle all their water at source here in the region, while they are also a local heritage brand – further illustrating Durham Cricket’s ethos of working with local brands.

Susanne Wright, head of marketing at Clearly Drinks, said: “Northumbria Spring is a local spring water, bottled at source here in the North East and we have big ambitions to drive growth and position it as the still and sparkling water for the North East and Northumberland.

“The range of still and sparkling PET and glass bottles has been specifically developed for the regional food service sector including hotels, cafes and tourist sites and we are thrilled to be an official sponsor of Durham Cricket club as a true local, North East brand.”

In addition to water being available across the club, Northumbria Spring branded advertising boards have been positioned around the ground at Emirates Riverside as well as a short animated video being showcased on replay screens during breaks – with branding also shown on the club’s multi-camera live stream on match day.

Durham Cricket Sales Director, Tom Seymour added: “We are thrilled to be teaming up with a North East brand in Northumbria Spring. Our playing squad and staff will benefit from this partnership hugely in maintaining their hydration levels. It is also great to be able to stock their products throughout the club. We look forward to working closely with Northumbria Spring for this season and beyond.”
