Matty Roseberry, Peter Brown

It is with great sadness to learn the passing of Matty Roseberry & Peter Brown.

Matty was one of the first appointed Directors of the Club in 1992 and was part of the group that helped develop cricket in the region, beginning the rise of Durham County Cricket Club to the top flight.

Having given over 10 years’ service to Durham , Matty helped Durham move into our home of Emirates Riverside.

After a short illness Matty passed away this morning.

Durham Cricket are also sad to learn that long standing Durham umpire Peter Brown has passed away.

Peter most recently won the Durham Cricket “Maureen Jackson Community Person of The Year” Award for his commitment as the Durham Cricket Board ACO Umpires Appointments Officer and to the North East Premier League as Umpires Secretary.

Peter dedicated many years’ service to officiating in our region.

Our thoughts are with both families at this sad time.
