Trudy Johnson

Trudy Johnson signed a one-year rookie contract with Durham before the 2025 season, penning her first deal in county cricket.

Having been part of the Durham pathway since under-10s, Johnson made her senior debut for North East Warriors in 2022 and also represented Northern Diamonds Academy and Second XI since 2021.

Johnson has made huge strides in 2024. She was named in the England Under 19s squad for their ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia, and she was also part of the North of England squad at Loughborough University in August.

Johnson was the leading run-scorer across North East Warriors Under 18s and Senior Women with 372 runs and a top score of 59 against Scotland. Her 17 wickets saw her finish as second leading wicket-taker across North East Warriors Under 18s and Senior Women with a best of 4/28 against Yorkshire at Darlington.
