Stanley McAlindon

Stanley McAlindon suffered an injury-hit 2024 campaign after a promising pre-season in Zimbabwe, where he took first-class best figures of 3-34.

The right-arm quick made his only senior appearance last summer at Sedbergh against Lancashire in the One Day Cup, in addition to occasionally featuring in County Championship squads.

The 21-year-old debuted in 2022 and has taken 15 wickets in 13 senior appearances, including South Africa international Wiaan Mulder and former England Test opener Sam Robson.

The Carlisle-born cricketer progressed through the Cumbria pathway before going to the Durham Academy in 2020, making huge strides in the following two years.

His Durham first-class debut came against Derbyshire, with McAlindon claiming 2/63 with two late wickets to dismiss the Derbyshire tail.

McAlindon appeared prominently for Durham Second XI in 2024, captaining the 2XI Championship on three occasions during the season, but was largely prevented from bowling due to injury.
