Mitchell Killeen

Mitchell Killeen was voted 2024 Second XI Player of the Year after impressing with bat and ball during the 2024 campaign.

The 20-year-old regularly played for Durham’s Second XI, scoring his maiden Durham hundred and two-half centuries and putting in impressive performances with the ball.

Killeen made strides with the bat in 2024, scoring over 400 runs, including an unbeaten 112 from 131 balls against Northamptonshire 2XI at Darlington.

The Durham-born seamer took 18 wickets for the Second XI last season, 11 of which came in the T20 competition, and made 79* against Derbyshire.

Killeen also made two senior appearances during the last campaign amid some injury struggles, both in the One Day Cup, when he claimed the wicket of Jake Libby against Worcestershire.

Killeen then featured in Durham’s final two County Championship squads against Surrey and Kent in 2024.
