Mitchell Killeen suffered an injury hit 2023 season, resulting in the right-arm seamer not featuring too often throughout last season.
Killeen made his List A debut for Durham in the 2022 season and would have hoped to have been a regular in 2023, but injury resulted in just one List A appearance in 2023.
In his only game, Killeen played against Warwickshire but bowled just 4 overs due to a returning hamstring injury leaving the field in the early stages.
Injury also kept Killeen out of England Under 19s selection during the summer, but he recovered in time for England’s tour to India in January 2024.
The 19-year-old featured in just two 2XI Championship games, bowling an impressive spell against Essex in the season opener with 7/20 in 9.3 overs powering Durham to a 271-run win at Woolpit.
