Luke Robinson

Luke Robinson suffered an injury-hit 2024 season, which resulted in the right-arm seamer missing the majority of the campaign.

After an impressive pre-season in Zimbabwe, Robinson picked up four wickets and bowled quick spells in the ZimT20 Cup, going into the 2024 season in strong spirits.

Robinson featured twice for the Second XI in 2024, claiming five wickets in two matches before suffering an injury in May.

The 21-year-old eventually returned to bowling in August and featured in the squad for the 2024 County Championship finale against Kent.

Having featured sporadically through the Durham age group system, Robinson earned his maiden Academy contract in 2021 before signing a season-long rookie deal in 2023.

Durham Academy Director John Windows was impressed with Robinson’s club performances at Philadelphia, and he was awarded an Academy contract in 2021.

He earned a season-long rookie deal in 2023 – making his professional debut against Leicestershire Foxes in the T20 Blast, picking up two wickets.

A product of Philadelphia Cricket Club, Robinson has played at the Bunker Hill ground throughout his junior and senior career but moved to Chester le Street Cricket Club for the 2024 season.
