Katherine Fraser

Durham Cricket announced the signing of Scottish international Katherine Fraser on a two-year deal ahead of the 2025 season.

Fraser’s off-spin has earned her 50 wickets on the international stage at the age of only 20, with a best of 4-19 against Malaysia for the Edinburgh bowling all-rounder.

After representing Scotland at multiple youth and senior levels, Fraser made her domestic debut with the Northern Diamonds in 2023. She made an early impact as she scored 26 and took 1-17 in a three-run win over Central Sparks.

In 2019, she made history by becoming Scotland’s youngest player to feature in a Women’s T20 International at just 14 years old, and she still holds the record.

Fraser went on to captain Scotland at the inaugural ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in January 2023, taking 10 wickets in four matches, including a key performance against the USA with 3/23 followed by 59 with the bat.

Katherine has also proved valuable at the senior level. She was ever-present during Scotland’s run to qualify for their first Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024 and featured four times for her national side during the recent World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
