Tall right arm quick bowler Daniel Hogg signed his first rookie deal during the winter of 2023, penning a two-year deal with the club until the conclusion of 2025.
An exciting prospect, Hogg’s game progressed hugely during 2023 and culminated in an Under 19s debut against Ireland at Loughborough University.
Playing in two out of the three ODI’s Hogg picked up three wickets and was then called upon for the England team to feature in the Ashes in both white and red ball matches.
Unfortunately, injury curtailed Hogg from playing a key role in the Ashes series, playing just two of the 50 over fixtures.
The 19-year-old played in 4 Second XI Championship games for Durham and claimed 14 wickets, finishing as the third leading wicket taker in the team.
Originally from Manchester, Hogg studied at Durham School and has played his youth cricket with Durham City. He joined Burnopfield in the North East Premier League for the 2023 season taking 13 wickets from 8 games.
