Girls' Cricket

Girls Softball Cricket

2017 has proven to be a landmark year for us in terms of the numbers of girls playing softball cricket.

We have had 24 clubs bringing teams to our festivals over the summer and we will be using this as a platform to launch our first ever softball league next year.

If you would like to get involved in girls’ cricket, click below to find your nearest club with a girls’ junior section.

All Stars Cricket is another way for children aged five to eight to get involved in cricket. All Stars Cricket is an activity-packed eight-week programme for girls and boys and it runs in a club near you during the season.

Looking to develop a Girls’ Section in your Club?

If any clubs are looking to develop a girls’ section, ECB have produced a fantastic toolkit which you can download below.

We are also very happy for one of our development officers to have a chat with you and help in any way they can. Please contact Marsha Davies on 0191 3872868 or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Girls Hardball Cricket

We don’t yet have any formal girls’ hardball leagues or competitions, but building upon our success of many new girls playing softball this year, we have had six of our clubs playing friendly hardball games.
