Durham Cricket are pleased to announce that Will Rhodes has signed a further one-year contract extension at the club.
Rhodes, who joined Durham from Warwickshire in 2025 will now remain in Chester le Street until at least the end of the 2028 season.
The 31-year-old has represented Durham in all-three formats during his two years in the North East and extends his stay into a fourth season.
The white ball arena is where Rhodes has excelled in a Durham shirt scoring his maiden Durham century against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup along with claiming his maiden List A five-wicket haul against Sussex Sharks.
His impressive opening campaign in the List A format saw him named 50 over player of the season as he topped the run scoring and wicket taking charts with 429 runs and 14 poles during the 2025 season.
He has backed up a strong 2025 List A campaign with a productive 2026 one as he ends the Metro Bank One Day Cup group stage as Durham’s leading run scorer and wicket taker.
Since his move from Warwickshire, Rhodes has also found his grove in the short format of the game having posted 382 T20 runs having not played T20 cricket since 2021.
The Nottingham-born cricketer is closing in on seven thousand first-class runs having scored his maiden Durham century against Worcestershire with an unbeaten 151* at Banks Homes Riverside.
On extending with Durham, Rhodes said: “I am loving my time with Durham and really excited to be with the club for the next two years.
“Everyone at the club has made me feel really welcome since joining and I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the coming years.”
