Shafiqullah Ghafari and George Drissell were in the wickets as Durham Second XI go one from two in their double header against Leicestershire.
After being put into bat by Leicestershire, Durham lost two wickets in the powerplay with Haydon Mustard and Will Rhodes both dismissed.
Recovering from 31/2, Luke Symington (42) and George Drissell (30) shared a 63-run partnership as Durham closed in on 100.
The Ds then lost a cluster of wickets falling 110/6 but Shafiqullah Ghafari and Jonathan Bushnell added 49 from the last 21 balls of the innings to put 159 on the board.
Sam Wood stood out with the ball for the visitors claiming 3/34 while Julius Sumerauer, Max Wallis and S Rizvi.
Durham picked up a pair of wickets in the opening seven overs through Bushnell and Louis Backhouse but the Foxes responded with an 88-run partnership between Sheridon Gumbs (71) and Tom Fraine (31).
Ghafari picked up four late wickets to claim figures of 4/14 as Leicestershire collapsed from 133/2 to 145/8, eventually falling 12 runs short.
Leicestershire chose to bat first in the follow-up encounter and got off to solid start with Fraine and Lewis Hill sharing 44 for the opening wicket.
Ghafari then picked up wickets in back-to-back overs before Bushnell had Hill lbw leaving the visitors 68/3 at the halfway stage.
Ghafari claimed a third, while a trio of poles from Drissell alongside one scalp for Backhouse had Leicestershire 100/8 with four overs remaining.
James Minto claimed Durham’s ninth but the visitors made their way to 132/9 from their 20 overs.
Drissell and Ghafari claimed figures of 3/20 apiece.
The Ds lost wickets at regular intervals in response with off-spinner Oliver Rayner striking first.
Wallis and Rizvi picked up two each as Durham struggled through the middle overs before Rayner returned to take a further four wickets claiming figures of 5/22.
James Minto top scored for the hosts with 16, falling to a 30-run defeat.
