Mitchell headed over to Sydney as soon as the cold weather set in to continue playing cricket over the UK winter. He is based in Sydney playing grade cricket representing Campbelltown-Camden Cricket Club.
Since arriving back in Oz Mitchell has played in four games bowling a total of 46.2 overs, picking up nine wickets at an average of 19.89. He has also contributed with the bat, averaging 18.75. At this early stage in the season Campelltown-Camden CC are 11th in the league.
