Washout ends Academy season

Durham Cricket Academy had their final North East Premier League Premier Division game away at Sacriston abandoned after 24.2 overs on Saturday afternoon.

Luke Doneathy, Ross Greenwell and Faizan Hussain took three wickets between them before the match was abandoned.

They finished ninth out of 12 in the Academy’s final NEPL season with a record of four wins, eight draws & nine defeats. South North ran out winners for the second straight year.

The U19’s also had their two-day friendly with Warwickshire abandoned but not before opener Jonathon Bushnell finished his summer in style making 189 in a score of 388-7 declared. The visitors got to 134-5 before the match was called off.
