Visually Impaired Commentary team looking for new volunteers

Durham Cricket are looking for new volunteers to join in with the clubs Visually Impaired Commentary which takes place at Emirates Riverside.

In 1998 Durham Cricket started a unique facility for visually impaired members. A team of volunteer members have provided a Test match Special style commentary for the County Championship and One Day Cup games.

This is not a broadcast, but the volunteers sit with the participants in a box in the main stand.

Due to illness and relocation the team requires more members to carry out these commentaries if the service is to continue.

Any members interested in becoming involved should contact Carl Rawlings on rawlings8@sky.com.
