Update: Development work at the Riverside

Development work has started at The Riverside which will see the opening of a new ‘Welcome Hub’ in early June.

The work, which involves creating one welcoming space, that will form the clubs new shop, box office and reception area, is expected to take a few months to complete. The clubs reception and box office will be temporarily stationed in a cabin at Gate 2, opposite the Sticky Wicket, to service customers for the early stages of the season. Whilst the club shop will only operate online for collections and deliveries during this period.

Marketing Director, David Jackson, said “We are delighted to get this work underway. It will allow us to provide a greater retailer offering to the members and fans and, more importantly, better customer service across the box office and reception functions.

We want to apologise to all of our cricket supporters and hospitality customers for the initial disruption to our service. We have had the work pending throughout the winter but issues around building services and materials mean we have not been able to complete the work ahead of the season. We are doing everything we can to limit disruption and have made temporary provision for our reception and box office at Gate 2 within the ground.”
