Unchanged squad to face Lightning

Durham Jets head coach Jon Lewis has named an unchanged squad for tomorrow’s Vitality Blast match against Lancashire Lightning at Emirates Riverside (2:30pm start).

After three wins in a week, including the incredible victory in this return fixture at Emirates Old Trafford on Tuesday, the Jets are aiming to make it four & secure a first home quarter-final since 2008.

Last night’s 12-run win over Northants Steelbacks was the Jets’ eighth win in nine & defeat for Worcestershire Rapids saw them overtaken into first position of the North Group.

And Lewis has kept faith with the same squad of 14 against a resurgent Lightning side, who have responded to Tuesday’s result with back-to-back wins that also sees them within touching distance of the knockout stages.

Mark Wood continues in the side after returning with figures of 1/29 at Wantage Road last night. Liam Trevaskis missed the match through illness & is 50-50 on a return tomorrow.

Tickets remain available for tomorrow’s match at £15 adults & £5 juniors in advance (up until midnight tonight). On-the-day prices are £20 adults & £5 juniors.

And with a holiday to Dubai up for grabs, the popular Liontrust Family Zone open from 12:30pm & a post-match screening of Trolls on the big screen, there is plenty going on at Emirates Riverside!

Durham Jets (154/7; Smith 37*, Clark 29; Khan 2/19, Lamb 2/19) beat Lancashire Lightning (150/9; Davies 53; Trevaskis 4/16) by 4 runs

Liam Trevaskis took three wickets in a brilliant last over as Durham snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford.

The part-time left-arm spinner from Carlisle, 19, defended just six off the last over and took his first wickets of the campaign as Lancashire chased a 155 target, slipping badly from a position of strength at halfway.

The Lightning needed 63 off the last 10 overs with six wickets left and finished on 150 for nine.
