Two changes for Sussex showdown

Durham Lead High Performance Coach James Franklin has made two changes for the 13-man squad travelling to Sussex for the Specsavers County Championship match starting tomorrow (24 June).

Stuart Poynter & Josh Coughlin have been added to the squad as Durham go in search of their second Championship win of the season.

Poynter has been in good form for the Seconds & made a quickfire century in the rain-affected draw with Yorkshire last week.

Coughlin has featured in numerous First XI squads so far this season & played in the pre-season friendly against Durham MCCU. He also took four wickets in the Second XI Trophy semi-final win on Friday.

Matthew Potts & Michael Jones drop out of the squad that faced Northamptonshire last time out, with Graham Clark & James Weighell retaining their squad places despite not making the playing XI in that match.

Durham are aiming to heavy defeats on the south coast in the last two seasons & avenge defeat in the return fixture at Emirates Riverside earlier in the season.

Squad vs Sussex (24-27 June)

Alex Lees, Graham Clark, Cameron Bancroft, Gareth Harte, Jack Burnham, Ned Eckersley, Stuart Poynter, Liam Trevaskis, Ben Raine, Brydon Carse, James Weighell, Josh Coughlin, Chris Rushworth.
