The club is delighted to announce that the Riverside Suite, often referred to as the Members Lounge, will be renamed The Geoff Cook Suite in honour of the clubs former First Team Coach and Director of Cricket.
The former England cricketer left his role as Director of Cricket at the end of last season having been with the club for 27 years. He had been an instrumental part of every major success at the Club since the move into first-class cricket.
A naming ceremony will take place during the innings break of tomorrow’s Royal London One-Day Cup game between Durham and Northamptonshire. Geoff will meet with members and unveil a plaque recognising his outstanding contribution to the club.
Members are invited to join Geoff along with Chief Executive Tim Bostock and Chairman Sir Ian Botham at the ceremony in the Members Lounge at approximately 2.45pm.
