Spectator information: Durham v Glamorgan, County Championship, 12-15 May

Two of the biggest names in World Test Cricket, Ben Stokes and Marnus Labuschagne, are set to go head to head at the Riverside the week as Durham take on Glamorgan in a four day County Championship match at The Riverside. 

The club are delighted to announce that all juniors can attend the Saturday of this fixture for FREE. Junior tickets on Saturday 14 May can be claimed from gate 2 before the start of play and throughout all of day 3.

Tickets are available to purchase for all four days of this fixture from the temporary box office located at Gate 2 and are priced at £15 per day on the gate. If you are arriving to any of the days after tea, tickets are priced at £5. Junior tickets are priced at £5 on all days but day 3. You can also purchase a junior membership which secures your entry to all formats of the game for just £20

Please note The Riverside is now a cashless venue for all transactions on site.

All tickets purchased online are now available to print at home, the unique QR code you receive can also be scanned via a mobile.

On Thursday, the Members Lounge will be located in the Castle View Suite rather than its usual location in the Geoff Cook Suite due to a pre-arranged function.

– 2022 yearbooks will be available to collect from Gate 2.

– Scorecards will be free from gate 2

– Guest pass – if you wish to bring a guest please inform box office upon arrival who will note for our records. 1 guest per member, per season.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of attending the fixture or watching from home!

ARRIVAL

Access to the ground will be via Gate 2 (opposite the Sticky Wicket) and will open from 10am.

Members that have pre paid for disabled parking will be able to access this via Gate 6.

Otherwise parking will be in the public pay car parks surrounding the ground. Please note, if you are yet to receive your parking pass, please still arrive at gate 6 and you will be assisted by stewards.

Other disabled parking is located in the dedicated area immediately outside of Gate 1 or in the allocated bays in the council car parks

MEMBERS – IMPORTANT MEMBERS LOUNGE INFORMATION INCLUDED

All members should now have received their membership packs ahead of the season, however, if you have not received your card, please go to the box office at gate 2 where you will receive your card.

On Friday, Saturday & Sunday the Members lounge will be in its usual place in the Geoff Cook Suite and will be open 10am until close of play.

However, due to a pre-arranged function taking place on Thursday, the Members Lounge will be located in the Castle View Suite. This will also be open from 10am until the close of play

If members show their card when ordering they will receive 10% discount on all items.

A reminder that all transactions in the Members Lounge and at the Riverside will be cashless

SHOP/RECEPTION/BOX OFFICE

The main area for the shop, reception and box office is currently closed for redevelopment of the club’s new welcome hub, please be careful around this area of the ground.

There is a temporary reception and box office in place in the yellow portable cabin next to gate 2.

The club shop is currently online only where purchases can be made for collection at the Riverside or delivery.

FOOD AND DRINK

There will be a number of different options available in the Members Lounge.

The Sticky Wicket will be open throughout all four days of play.

An ice cream van and coffee van will be on site for the whole fixture.

HOURS OF PLAY

The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.

11.00 Start of play

1:00 lunch

3:40 tea.

Close of play (approx 6pm)

LIVE STREAMING

This fixture will be live streamed and available to watch on the Durham Cricket match centre, or by visiting our channel on Youtube.

The stream will include BBC commentary and multi-camera coverage.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED COMMENTARY

Thanks to a team of volunteers we will once again be able to offer commentary on this fixture for those who are visually impaired and attending the Riverside.

If you wish to use this service, please head to box 15 for the fixture against Glamorgan.

GROUND/PITCH ACCESS

This match will be played on pitch 8 which is pavilion side of the square.

SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down” checks).

You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns, no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.

A reminder to all in attendance, dogs are welcome to attend all fixtures however all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and we request that spectators with a dog sit away from any spectators to avoid disruption.
