Second XI opening day of the season washed out against Lancashire

No play was possible for Durham Second XI against Lancashire Second XI at Emirates Old Trafford on the opening day of their Championship season.

Heavy rain overnight followed by rain on Monday morning, meant an early lunch was taken at 12:30pm.

Play was abandoned shortly after 2pm for the day as the conditions didn’t improve in Manchester.
